Really enjoyed this. Ross became a favorite player of mine for the World Champion Cubs team, and I'm so glad he wrote his story for us. One thing that stood out to me in this book is the importance of knowing human nature whatever job you are doing. David Ross, Cubs President Theo Epstein, and manager Joe Maddon became so successful because they get it that the human element is essential--character, motivation, trust. These things are more important than pure talent, stats, and algorithms. As someone who teaches in the humanities, I appreciated this aspect of the book. But all that aside, this is just a fun book to read. I loved the behind-the-scenes stories from the 2016 Cubs team and from Ross's own career.
